New Version of LinkFixer Advanced Solves Hidden Problem with Office 2007 Upgrades.

protect linksCLEARWATER, FLORIDA, USA — LinkTek Corporation, the world’s leading provider of software that automates the management and repair of links contained within a wide variety of popular file formats, announces the latest release of their patented LinkFixer Advanced link maintenance and repair software. This new release allows users of Microsoft Office to upgrade their files to Office 2007 without causing broken links in the process. (Visit https://linktek.com).

Upgrading Office documents with links to other Office documents that are also being upgraded will cause Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access links in the upgraded documents to become broken. This is an often unknown, hidden problem that can result in costly disruption to business processes. This is caused by the file extensions of the Office 2007 version of these files being different than the file extensions used in earlier versions of Office.

However, with the latest release of LinkFixer Advanced, there is a solution available to help with this looming problem. LinkFixer Advanced is the first software application that can be used to safeguard links in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access 97-2003 files so that when broken links occur due to Office 2007 upgrades (or other reasons) LinkFixer Advanced can be used to find and fix the broken links automatically!

This newest release adds to LinkFixer Advanced’ previous ability to move and rename Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, MicroStation, HTML, InDesign, PageMaker, Acrobat PDF and Windows shortcut files, without causing broken links.

First introduced at the 2002 Internet World convention in New York City, LinkFixer Advanced won the Best of Show award in the design category. Since that time, LinkFixer Advanced has been favorably mentioned in: Cadalyst Magazine, eWeek, Redmond, Windows IT Pro, CNET radio, CNNfn, PC Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, The Washington Post, The New York Times, Computer World and The Wall Street Journal.
